One of my favorite parts of Megan & Billy’s wedding day was honestly watching Meg & her ‘maids pull up photos of my dog’s instagram (@maxierelaxie if you’re curious) and laugh at how weird my dog was. That was within 5 minutes of showing up and pretty much a glimpse into how the whole day would go. Meg and her girls were absolutely wild, but absolutely kind, and had smiles plastered to their faces all day. In fact, there were so many wonderful faces all day. Not just because Meg & Billy are a stunning pair, but their friends and family that welcomed my team that day had so much energy and made it hard to leave them at the end of the night, possibly because the dance floor was one of the craziest I’ve seen yet.
I loved that I got to walk into Megan & Billy’s day feeling like almost an old friend. We met originally back in the fall for drinks and to chat about my being their photographer at one of my favorite wine bars. We shared a bite before their winter engagement session while chatting about their story that took place in the blocks that we snapped their photos. And come their wedding day, Meg had already pulled up my dog on her iPhone when I arrived. A lot of their formal portraits required little direction from me- rather it was a lot of laughter and them just enjoying their day- exactly how it should be.
So honored to be a party of their day and capture their love story.
