Elisa & Evan’s wedding was not just one day, but a whole weekend of meticulously planned activities for them and their guests. From talent shows, to tug of wars, to spin classes lead by their own guests, Elisa & Evan didn’t let any detail go unplanned. I had so much fun with them, I didn’t even want to leave at the end of the night.
I loved getting to know Elisa & Evan from the moment they told me about their wild camp wedding idea, to the day of their engagement shoot when they welcomed me into their home and told me their love story and we travelled around Brooklyn, to this day, this weekend, when a tiny camp in the Catskills was filled with love and transformed into the most brilliant idea for a wedding- #CampWannaWed
Elisa & Evan didn’t want just a day with their guests, they wanted a whole weekend. A laid-back fun-filled weekend that was the antithesis of what weddings can become. Elisa & Evan put so much thought and every into the details, timelines, and planning of this wedding (checkout their “Wet Hot American Summer” inspired invitations, their canoe and firetruck bridal party entrances to the ceremony, and even their whimsical fly fishing tackle boutonniere ), but didn’t lose sight of what weddings are about. They enjoyed every minute as much as their friends did, as evidenced through Elisa’s never ending smiles and Evan’s sentiment of “pinch me, this wedding has been too good to be true.”
Hope you find as much joy from these photos as these two and their guests did from this weekend. Congrats again, you two! And thanks for letting me attend #campwannawed.
